Migrant worker charred to death after falling into fire pit in Perumbavoor; parts of torso, jaw with teeth found, search continues

KOCHI: The fire force has found more body parts of the migrant worker who fell into a fire pit in a plywood company in Perumbavoor. Parts of the torso, a leg bone, a jaw with teeth and some vertebrae in the spine were found in the search conducted using a Hitachi excavator. The fire force is still trying to find the remaining parts.

Nazeer, an employee of Universal Plywood in Odakkali, fell into the pit yesterday morning while trying to put out the fire in the deep pit filled with plywood waste. The fire force reached the spot immediately after hearing about the accident. Although the fire force attempted to save Nazeer by removing the garbage using the Hitachi excavator, it was not successful. The body parts of Nazeer were found in the search conducted today morning. The company is owned by T P Muhammed of Odakkali.
